On Saturday, 27 April 2019, our popular Spring Festival of concerts at the middle station Murtèl will be taking place for the third time. After last year, when about 2000 people sang along to the song "079" with Lo & Leduc, this spring Corvatsch is going in a different musical direction. ROCK! And the line-up is quite impressive.
Singer-songwriter Andrea Bignasca from Ticino pays tribute to our famous raven with his unmistakeable rough, husky voice, combining elements of both rock and blues. Following successful tours and festival appearances, including at the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Gurtenfestival and Zermatt Unplugged, Bignasca and his band are now coming to take Corvatsch by storm. They'll warm up the audience with modern rock songs like "Moonshining" before the headline act Royal Republic really gets things rocking and rolling.
Royal Republic is an alternative rock band from Malmö that was founded in 2007. The Swedish rockers are already being called the kings of rock'n'roll. They attained international fame with songs like "Tommy Gun" and "Everybody Wants to be an Astronaut". Before appearing at prestigious festivals like the Southside Festival and the Sweden Rock Festival later this summer, Royal Republic will be treating us to a fantastic live rock show featuring their new album.
It's bound to be a great way to round off the season. Bring your friends and family to Corvatsch for a memorable concert experience in the snow. The Spring Festival is included in your ski pass. Pedestrian will need to pay CHF 45 for admission to the concert including ascent and descent with the cableway.
