Every March the FIS Freeski World Cup competition is held at the Corvatsch. What's at stake is the honour of being best on the day and CHF 50,000 in prize money. Around 130 athletes from around the world will ski, jump and slide down the spectacular slopestyle course. These young freeskiers will offer onlookers a great show with a host of acrobatic tricks. When executing 'doubles' and 'triples', skiers will fly up to 30 metres through the air at a height of 8 metres. Slides and jibs performed on so-called rails are met with astonished looks. Onlookers can follow the action directly alongside the course and on the giant screen in the Event Village. The start of the slopestyle course and the Event Village are situated next to the Murtèl middle station. It means the event is also easy to attend on foot. Admission to the event site is free and there are no VIP stands.
