Lots of sunshine and great freeride conditions in the final stages of preparation in the lead up to the freeride contest at Corvatsch 3303. 120 of the best freeriders in the world are making the journey to Silvaplana, coming from no less than 16 different nations, all competing in the legendary ENGADINSNOW by Dakine in its 18th edition.
Starting Thursday, the skiing region Corvatsch 3303 in the Engadin is fully under the spell of the freeriders. Freeskiers and snowboarders compete in the qualification of the world’s largest Freeride Tour FWQ event commencing Friday, January 31st. The qualifying event starts in the Corvatsch / Fuorcla region. The best riders from qualification will get the chance to show their skills in the big finale on the Corvatsch’s north face on Saturday. Snow conditions on north face and its up to 65° gradient are very good for freeriders. Mountain guides and the safety team have been busy for days, granting maximum security for the international field of riders.
In the unique event that is the ENGADINSNOW by Dakine the finalists compete alongside a few invited riders. Spectators can watch the spectacular runs and breathtaking jumps from up close.
